Title: The Man Who Played with Fire Pdf Stieg Larsson's Lost Files and the Hunt for an Assassin

“A fascinating ‘creative nonfiction’ account of the greatest unsolved mystery in Swedish history.” —Wall Street Journal

“It’s more than just a thrilling book…There’s a lot of evidence that points to an international conspiracy.” —CBS This Morning Saturday

The author of the Millennium novels laid out the clues. Now a journalist is following them.

When Stieg Larsson died, the author of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo had been working on a true mystery that out-twisted his Millennium novels: the assassination on February 28, 1986, of Olof Palme, the Swedish prime minister. It was the first time in history that a head of state had been murdered without a clue who’d done it—and on a Stockholm street at point-blank range.

Internationally known for his fictional villains, Larsson was well acquainted with their real-life counterparts and documented extremist activities throughout the world. For years he’d been amassing evidence that linked their terrorist acts to what he called “one of the most astounding murder cases” he’d ever covered. Larsson’s archive was forgotten until journalist Jan Stocklassa was given exclusive access to the author’s secret project.

In The Man Who Played with Fire, Stocklassa collects the pieces of Larsson’s true-crime puzzle to follow the trail of intrigue, espionage, and conspiracy begun by one of the world’s most famous thriller writers. Together they set out to solve a mystery that no one else could.

Try it and pay attention Interesting read. Unfortunately some reviewers don’t understand the book or that Nazis were as much socialists as N. Korea is currently a democratic republic. Nor do they know the definition of fascism and can’t understand how politics are a part of every facet of life without being offended. Hopefully they can and will educate themselves on historical politics as well as realize how imperialism has and does play a part in destabilizing the governments of other countries for our country’s gain.Back to book, it’s gripping and if you are a fan of true crime give it an honest shot. I’m not good at reviewing without spoilers so I will stop here.Leftist Propaganda "Internationally known for his fictional far-right villains"All his villains were leftists and communists. Not a single one was "right wing"Haunting Unsolved Murder of PM Olof Palme “The Man Who Played With Fire” is a riveting, nonfiction, investigative journalistic look into the unsolved murder of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme. The first several pages discuss some of the conditions and background, plus an editor’s note regarding the work done by Stieg Larsson. The author, Stocklassa, tells us that more than 30 pages of Larsson’s writing is included in this book. So, the book is, in reality, authored by two writers and is translated into English. I might normally be concerned that such a work, under such circumstances, might lose a great deal in translation. Oh contraire, the book reads so smooth I could have forgotten it is nonfiction, and that it is a translated piece.Unfortunately, as the author explains early in his story, the murder of Prime Minister Olof Palme remains unsolved. Perhaps, though, the clues unveiled in “The Man Who Played With Fire,” will help solve the mystery by 2020. One can only hope.I have also ordered the Audible edition so I can read the book again and again while driving cross country in my RV.BOTTOM LINEFive stars out of five.
